Shannon, Office Manager
I have been in dentistry more years than I want to admit. I was Dr. Peterson’s first employee when he started his practice in 2007. I helped him get the practice going and we have many wonderful patients that I also call friends.
In November 2008 my husband, Tony, was offered a job in Anchorage, Alaska. We decided to live the Alaskan dream and moved to a small town called Eagle River, just outside Anchorage. It is a beautiful place, with mountains, lakes, rivers, wildlife and plenty of FISH! We had some great fishing adventures.
After three and a half years we decided it was time to move back down south, hopefully somewhere in the northwestern states. Dr. Peterson was kind enough to allow me to return to my dental home. I was so pleased to see all my patients again; it was like I never left.
My family and I enjoy the outdoors, especially going shooting in the desert, which reminds us of the fun we had in Alaska.
My team members are my family. They really care, and genuinely want each of our patients to feel comfortable and at home.
We welcome you to our practice, and look forward to taking care of your dental needs.
Aubree, Dental Hygienist
I have been interested in teeth for as long as I can remember. When I was age six, I used a rock to knock out my front teeth so I could get the permanent teeth to come in!
I grew up in a small town in western Washington. I met my husband at age sixteen and we have had many adventures over the years. Our biggest adventure was a five month backpacking trip through Europe in 2007, visiting over twenty countries. We moved to Boise when we returned, to escape the rain of western Washington.
I really got interested in dental hygiene as a senior in high school. I ended up becoming a dental assistant to familiarize myself with the dental world. I worked as an assistant for two years before getting my dental hygiene education at Shoreline Community College in north Seattle.
My husband and I now have a very energetic son with a ton of personality and the sweetest, sassiest little daughter. We enjoy being outside, whether we’re camping, hiking, fishing or just having a picnic in the park. My family is the best part of my life.
I have been working with Dr. Peterson since 2009. The best part of my job is building relationships with our awesome patients.
Taleah, Dental Hygienist
When I was a little girl, I loved going to the dentist. I knew I wanted to be in the dentistry field. My dreams of being a hygienist came true when I received my Associate’s Degree of Dental Hygiene from Carrington College, and I was licensed in the State of Idaho.
Providing the best treatment is my main priority, and the rest of the staff here at Peterson Family Dentistry feel this way as well. I enjoy getting to know each and every one of my patients.
In my spare time, I love to take advantage of the great outdoors here in Idaho, whether it be fishing at Cascade Lake or a hike through McCall. I also play the violin, and want to continue to learn other instruments.
I hope to further my education by getting my bachelor’s degree and eventually learn Spanish.
I have a passion for helping others and I would love to travel to another country to provide for dental needs there. Being able to make a difference in the lives of others is truly rewarding.
Courtney, Dental Assistant
I received my certificate of training in Dental Assisting through the College of Western Idaho. I continued my education and received my Associate’s Degree of Applied Science.
I assisted for three years before joining the staff at Peterson Family Dentistry, and have been assisting Dr. Peterson for one year.
I love the relationships I have developed with our patients, and enjoy helping them achieve their dream smiles.
Outside of work, I enjoy singing, dancing, painting, working out and spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy anything outdoors, from camping and hiking to boating and dirt biking.
With four years of full-time dental experience, my goal is to make your dental visit with us as comfortable as possible, and to develop a relationship based on kindness and trust.
Kayla, Dental Assistant
I was born and raised in Boise, Idaho with my family of four. I have one sister, a brother-in-law and a baby nephew on the way.
I grew up knowing I wanted to help people. I’ve always noticed peoples’ smiles, and I decided on the dental field because I wanted to help those who don’t feel comfortable smiling because of their teeth.
I received my education at the College of Western Idaho and have been assisting for two years. I don’t think I could enjoy my job any more than I do now.
When I’m not in the office, I like playing softball, snowmobiling, snowboarding and camping.
I’m excited to meet all of you and hear about your story at Peterson Family Dentistry.
